In a faraway land, a young shepherd tended sheep at the foot of the mountain. While his sheep grazed, he felt lonely and bored. He did not know how to spend his time. One day, he had an idea. He shouted, “Wolf, Wolf!” When the villagers rushed, the boy laughed and made fun of them. This made the villagers angry. He liked the fun he had and repeated it a couple of times. One day, a wolf came and attacked the sheep. He shouted for help. But the villagers thought that he was joking and did not rush for help. The shepherd looked helplessly as the wolf chased away all his sheep. He regretted his foolishness and returned home empty-handed.
Moral: A liar cannot be believed even when he tells the truth.
